Street Minister Artur Pawlowski heads to parliament
A private tour was arranged for Artur Pawlowski, Pastor of Street Church Ministries, to go to Ottawa and again to have an opportunity to visit with Canada’s top officials. Pawlowski wants to see how a prayer and a chapel service is conducted inside a federal government building.
“After receiving such a huge opposition from Calgary’s city officials regarding public prayer and worship in the citizens own building (a number of officers, both police and corporate security, that came to intimidate, harass or arrest parishioners, was over thirty at a time), I took this opportunity to see for myself how things are done in the highest government building in Canada, the Parliament building in Ottawa,” stated Pawlowski.
Public prayer in government building’s is nothing new or extra ordinary. For example every week in Vancouver such services are conducted inside their city hall. As a matter of fact this happens across this country in different municipalities. In Toronto, pastors and other believers are meeting inside city hall chambers to pray and worship the living God, Jesus, on a regular basis.
“We have to understand that there is absolutely nothing wrong in expressing one’s faith in the public square. Prayer and worship should go forth to the throne of grace from every public building from all levels of government. There is power in prayer and there is victory in lifting high the name that is above every other name, Jesus Christ. Canada was built on such a foundation. On the parliament building there are scriptures from the Bible. In Calgary, in the foundation of the city hall building a Holy Bible is buried as a symbol that from that moment on everyone in political power would submit themselves and their authority to the One true God, the God of the Bible. What is happening now is that some have forgotten about this extremely important aspect. The real blessing for us all comes from honoring the real Sovereign One, and I am not talking about money or possessions. It is time in Canada to go back to the original design that in the past blessed this country so much which is having a relationship with the creator of the heavens and the earth, Jesus Christ, and for Him again “to have dominion from sea to sea.” said Pawlowski
Pawlowski’s itinerary will also include a visit to Toronto’s city hall and a weekend with media personalities such as Ezra Levant, Charles Adler, Michael Coren and many more, during this “freedom weekend”. They will be discussing what is happening in our country of Canada regarding our fundamentally guaranteed freedoms and the deliberate attack against them that comes from the main stream media and some groups that have complete disregard for what our forefathers fought and died for. By the way, those are the very freedoms that we all, including them, enjoy today.
“It is very important to recognize that freedoms and personal rights in a democratic society are to be cherished and to be protected not only for our own sake today but also for the future generations. I remember when i was growing up in communist Poland, we as a nation had our constitution, and through the whole period of dictatorship that we suffered at the hands of the Russians, the constitution was still supposed to be a valid law of the country. The truth is, it was the highest law just like in Canada (Poland was the first nation in Europe to have a constitution second in the world after the United States of America). The problem however was that Polish courts and arms of the government were forced by the communists to ignore and disregard this highest law that protected it’s own citizens. By intimidation, harassment, blackmail, imprisonment or in many occasions when those “courts and government puppets” refused to submit to the communist party, were simply murdered as an enemy of the state. During the almost 50 years of oppression, thousands of people died and hundreds of thousands were illegally sent to prison. We have to learn from this lesson in history. We simply cannot stay anymore in our Canadian arrogance and ignorance and believe that this cannot happen to us! If we think that way then we are simply not listening and what’s even worse from what I’ve seen, some are deliberately covering their eyes and ears pretending that everything is OK. Refusing to do something and forfeiting our rights, that were bought with the precious blood of our veterans, is like spitting in their faces and saying that their sacrifice was irrelevant. Therefore, by not doing anything today, we are agreeing to and are participating in the shedding of the innocent blood of tomorrow, and this is pure evil. The Bible teaches us that when a man knows to do the right thing and refuses to do it, then it is accredited to him as a sin.” concluded Pawlowski
Isaiah 1:17
Learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.
Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
