Miracle Channel Trip – Play by Play
This is a bit of a play by play of Art and My 24 hour trip to Lethbridge, I hope it is an encouragement to you to share your faith wherever you are, know this, if they are breathing they need Jesus!
Art and I headed up to Lethbridge on Sunday afternoon to speak on the Miracle Channel Yesterday. God opened many doors to share Jesus with the lost, before we even made it to the Miracle Channel. Art started by sharing Jesus with the front desk girl at the hotel we were staying at, then a guy in the elevator on the way up to our room, then a couple in the elevator to the restaurant, By this time I asked Art if I could share with the waitress ( What a blessing to hang out with people who really spur you on to witness) I prayed for the right time to share with Kelt.
I asked her If she were to die tonight where would her soul go? She replied "I do not know, I have never really thought about it, my Grandma is kind of into that." I was able to share the entire gospel message with her in about 5 minutes, and she left saying you have given me
A lot to think about, I also left her with a gospel tract and told her eternity was a long time and it is the one thing she did not want to get wrong, because heaven and hell were at stake. (I was reminded again how important it is for us Christians to be carrying gospel tracts with us, in order to leave with people so they can go back and read the gospel in detail after we finish talking with them or if there is not enough time to go through the entire gospel, we can give them a gospel tract)
As we left the restaurant Art started to share with the hostess, and Art had a word for her, she was really impacted, and open to Jesus.
Then we met Brent in the elevator at the hotel, he had a bandage on his hand, Art asked what happened, he said he woke up in the drunk tank, with his hand smashed. I asked Brent, what if you never woke up? where would your soul go, heaven or hell? he said I don’t know, but probably heaven, I asked why, he said because I am a good person. Brent stayed in the hall way for 25 minutes listening to the gospel, learning that none of us are good but God, and only through Jesus Christ can we enter heaven. He was actually staying in the room beside us and we told him if God spoke to him in the middle of the night, that he could come knocking on our door. He was from Calgary and he said he might stop by Street Church.
We went to Denny’s for Breakfast and we shared Christ with the host, and waitress. Then we went to get our things from our room to check out and Art shared Christ with the Janitor of the hotel.
We were then off to the Miracle Channel, we prayed that Jesus would be lifted up in the interview and that people watching would be encouraged to be intentional about evangelism. After the TV show, Paul the TV host at Miracle Channel took us out for lunch, Art was able to witness to the waitress. She said she had a lot to think about, where her soul would spend eternity.
What a whirl wind and a blessing to spend 24 hours partnered up with someone serious about being a fisher of men! The scriptures say let’s spur one another on to love and good works. I can’t think of anything more exciting or worth while in this life then to share the gospel with the lost. This is sure a lot better then going to the mountain’s with the guys! Christ has called us to battle for souls. That is when iron truly sharpens iron.
Romans 5:9 “Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him, For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.”
Live life in light of eternity, What will matter 150 years from now?
