March for Jesus reports.
On Sunday June 20th.the day began with the SUN shining. The day ended with the SON shining.
We met at a rally point at 1:00pm. There were believers from many different congregations as well many different nationalities were also represented. There were flags of Canada, Israel, and at least 30 countries. Beautiful worship songs (including Messianic songs) played as we assembled ourselves behind a huge banner that read March for Jesus. Many people carried banners and signs waving large colorful flags. Beth Shechinah had unique signs listing the many names of Yeshua. Organizers also gave out hundreds of shirts and hats for the March.
At 2:00pm. there was at least 2500 (christian reporters estimated that number of people marched was between 4000 and 5000 – Street Church insert ) people marching together along Stephens Avenue towards the Olympic Park across from the City Hall. We waved our flags and banners and sang songs of praise to our God. One group of young Spanish believers were walking behind us singing songs of worship and then John from Lethbridge led our congregation in singing Messianic songs.
At one point in the march we looked up to the top of an office tower under construction on about the 30th. floor someone was waving a banner as everyone walked by.
Finally, we ended the march at Olympic Plaza. There was a stage set up for the program and tables of food with rows of BBQ’s. Volunteers were grilling hamburgers, steaks and hot dogs. There were inflated jumpers for the children and ice-cream and cotton candy help to lend to a festive atmosphere. There were clothes being given out and stuffed animals given to the children. Many believers were hugging one another as they met one another. There was a genuine and sincere sense of love and unity in the air. It was an experience we won’t forget.
The program started with singing and dancing with many different groups ministering. Later there was a beautiful time in which Real from Quebec representing the Christian community asked Rabbi Cal forgiveness for the anti-Semitism in Canada and specifically during the time of the Second world war when the Liberal Govt. turned a boat load of Jewish refugees fleeing the Nazis. He prayed a blessing for the Jewish people and our congregation and Cal responded by praying and blessing the Christian community as well as our govt. for standing with Israel.
Then everyone stood for the Ha Tikva (Israel’s national anthem) and Deep Stream from Lethbridge sang this song as the Israel and Canadian flags were being waved. The shofars were blown to seal what was done. There was a tremendous presence of God during this time as we interceded in the heart of our city. We felt blessed to be part of this special day. There was about 45 members from Beth Shechinah.
We had an opportunity to share our faith and fellowship with many believers from around the city and I believe many seeds were planted. One woman came up to Cal and said I am so glad that your Congregation is here today. We are all one in the body of Messiah and this was a wonderful opportunity to reach out to our brethren in the city.
A special thanks to Artur Pawlawski who did an excellent job in having the vision to organize and raise the funds for such a huge undertaking. He raised up many volunteers from around the city to help in this event. We are blessed to have Artur and his family in our congregation. They have done a lot to bring blessing in our city.
This was a tremendous opportunity to make a statement for Yeshua and for that I felt He was shining on all of us.

Rick McIver, Alderman and a very strong supporter of Street Church joined Bill Mills, Mayor of Truro, Nova Scotia.
Rick came out to the platform to give a few words after the march and he and his wife were prayed over. Rick is not believer, but as an Alderman he joined us in lifting the name of Yeshua. For the March there was an estimate of about 2,500 people (christian reporters estimated that number of people marched was between 4000 and 5000 – Street Church insert ).
But at the park we had more, I would estimate about 4,000. Rod and Ingrid gave away 4,500 cones of ice-cream. They minister by giving away free ice-cream here in Calgary and witness at the same time.
Street Church provided about 15,000 buns, AAA steaks, patties, hot dogs, drinks, which could feed about 5,000 people or more plus all the toys, candy and used clothing for the children. There was lots of food for everyone.
Miracle Channel and AM1140 covered the march and activities at the park. We had no public media to cover the march.
There was lots of worship, it was such a great and blessed day for those who took part in lifting the name of Yeshua (Jesus) above all names. At this March, many seeds were thrown through prayer, worship and gospel tracks – and quite simply, that is all we are required to do.
ONLY God can bring in the harvest.

This was one of the best days of my life, lifting up the name of Jesus, with thousands of other people publicly!
John 12:32 “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw al peoples to Myself”
I have heard different numbers anywhere between 2000-5000 people marching for Jesus down 8 Ave. Regardless of the numbers, there were a ton of people who loved Jesus, unashamedly lifting up His name, it was awesome! 1000’s of tracts were handed out, hundreds of people were witnessed to, many gave there lives to Christ, we had a 6 hour worship/testimony/celebration time at Olympic plaza at the end of the March.
I saw a huge number of YA’s there serving, sharing there faith, worshiping God. I was truly blessed, and proud of the ministry I get the privilege of being involved in. Through the day I had YA’s constantly asking me for more tracts/Bibles to hand out.
They were seeking for lost souls. That is true sign that God’s Holy Spirit is amongst us when we are about His business, Seeking and Saving the Lost!

Hi Art, I just wanted to say thank you for organizing the March for Jesus on Sunday.
I was very blessed by the whole event. It was a wonderful testimony to our city about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

When I arrived at the march, someone handed me the March for Jesus banner and said "you are going to be in front". I was like….wow….I get to be in front…!!!
About five minutes into the march I became soaked in the presence of God. The presence of God is a consuming fire. There is nothing greater than the Presence of Jehovah. Once a person experiences the Presence of Jehovah, nothing on this earth will ever satisfy again.
When a person experiences Jesus, they will abandon everything to follow Him. When a person experiences the Almighty, they will abandon drugs, they abandon alcohol, they abandon crack cocaine, they abandon every addiction, because there is something pure and something powerful, something that fills the inner being, and only God can satisfy. Something that brings rivers of life to dead places and dying wastelands. The emptiness that lives inside of every human is to be filled with the Spirit of God.
The Bible says that the disciples dropped their nets and followed him. The only way I can describe the Almighty, is a consuming fire. ….for our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:29 The blessing was getting soaked by His Spirit in the presence of angels. Like the pouring rain. People were shouting “Jesus Saves”. I lost my voice because I was walking down the street shouting Jesus Saves for 2 hours. This is a picture of me screaming “Jesus Saves”.
We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. Psalm 20:5
There were many Messianic Jews at the March for Jesus. They were carrying the flag of Israel in front of the march for Jesus. Everyone was marching behind Israel and it was a blessing to have an opportunity to support Israel.
The Bible says that in the last days, Israel will be restored as a nation. After Israel is restored as a nation, the anti-christ will arise, and a peace treaty will be signed with Israel.
However, the anti-christ will break the peace treaty and the nations will turn against Israel. In 1948 Israel became a nation.
The end time Bible propecies are being fullfilled in our time. When the nations turn against Israel, we know the end is near.
