If It Does Not Matter for Eternity, It Does Not Matter

“You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted as a soldier.” – 2 Timothy 2:3-4

 Now is a time like no other that we need to be engaged in out and out spiritual warfare against satan for the souls of men. God could save everyone Himself, but He has chosen to use the body of Christ to impact souls for eternity. The question is, are we fighting the good fight of faith, or are we side tracked and entangled with the affairs of this life. Are we making excuses for why we are not living as a good soldier of Jesus Christ? It is time for all of us to leave these excuses behind us, and follow the orders of our Lord, to follow and him and be fishers of men. Heaven or Hell or at stake.

 Mark Cahill states “Are you on satan’s hit list? Is your life so radically lived for Jesus that satan can’t wait to get you off this planet? Is your youth group on satan’s hit list? Or is it one of those youth groups that is more concerned about pizza, yo-yos, and Six Flags than about whether your school is going to serve Jesus? Is your church on Satan’s hit list? Or is it one of those churches that is more concerned with how the building looks and the next church program than with seeing the lost throughout your city come to know Jesus?
I have made it my goal, and I hope you will make it your goal to get on satan’s hit list. I guarantee that if you make that your goal, you will have a crazy ride through this life-time, but one amazing entrance into Heaven when you die”

We are not a threat to the enemy if we are not engaged in the battle for souls. Jesus calls us into battle by being a light in the darkness, not light amongst light.

We praise God that 11 souls made decisions for Christ over the weekend, and we baptized a man on Sunday in the Bow River, very cold!!! But always worth it!

Please pray for our upcoming Easter Festival April 8th, across from the Calgary Drop In Centre, 4th and 4th SE, at 2:00pm.

Needs for the festival:

• Volunteers to: hand out food, pray, help do set up & tear down, lead people to Jesus, and council people. We need all the volunteers we can get
• Finances for the food, advertising, etc. Tax Receipts will be given at the end of the year, you can mail checks to Street Church, 4813 Centre Street, Calgary, AB, T2E 2Z6 (Make checks payable to Street Church)
• Socks, gloves, jackets.
• Bibles and Tracts
