Judgment Passed

Street Church found out today that the judge has decided. Street Church will not be able to use any amplification at Triangle Park.

We invite everyone to stand with us at this time in prayer, and if you are willing to come out Good Friday at 7:00pm in Triangle Park, join us while we continue to preach the gospel. And for our Easter Festival this Sunday. Our Christian lawyer has advised us to keep going as is, and he will fight any ticket we receive. For to long we have continued to watch evil prevail, while keeping silent and being to afraid to speak the truth in love.

For Street to never have been given a ticket by the bylaws for noise levels being too high, and now for the city and judge to say no amplification, we believe it is because of the gospel message we preach, not the noise levels. The bylaw officers that have come down have said we are in legal range, and we have told them we will make any changes they see fit, and if we do get to loud they can give us a ticket.

But instead of working within the system they have decided to just say no. Considering the Lilac Festival, Folk Festival, and many other events at Princess island park, which have much louder amplification, and around many more residential areas. This is a direct attack on the gospel message we preach.

Matthew 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men”
