When God’s children GO
If my God was able to bring me this far He is then perfectly able to bring me all the way to the other side for a great and awesome victory. Our God leads us ALL the way.
There is something so beautiful and special about preaching the gospel and feeding the poor in public. Every time I go out I feel that the heart of God is being touched. I am sure that He delights in His people when they are about His business/kingdom and are not just talkers. When God’s children GO out with the a true tangible manifestations of His love and restore hope and dignity in peoples lives while providing for their needs, His love touches everyone around. True love always expresses it’s self with action. Because of the location (in the heart of the city) Street Church meetings are able to touch countless individuals who other wise would not be able to hear the truth of the gospel.
The world needs to hear the truth about Jesus and what He came to do for mankind.
Every single week we hear story’s of people’s life’s being greatly impacted by this “small church” and by the volunteers huge hearts. We witness many new comers that stop by to talk with us and pray, for example just few days ago, a young man came to Street Church saying that he was drawn here not understanding why. He later repented from his sins and received Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Even just yesterday a lady came with huge smile on here face and a hug saying “thank you for all that you do, I now have a place of my own”, but the latest story that touches me the most is this, a man who was in the line up listening to the preaching came up to me as he received his food, he looked at me and said “while I was listening I wrote a poem, I would like to read it to you”.
Here is the poem from the heart of a homeless man:
STREET CHURCH
I enjoy the prayer as much as I enjoy the food
The food fills my stomach, the prayer improves my mood
You may be poor or homeless
But there is no need to eat bad
The Street church will continue to serve
They are not just a passing fad
Thank god for the Street church
They have a simple goal
A big thank you to all the volunteers
Who fill your stomach while improving your soul
The haters at city hall don’t understand that
Street Church is here to stay
You can try and close them down
But they’re going to be here until they are old and grey
The haters at city hall will never understand
Street Church is here to stay
Even if you try to close them down
They will be back next Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday!

We have to remember that one day we are going to stand before the Righteous Judge, let us all wait with anticipation for His words ” Well done my good and faithful servant” Did you notice that He says servant which means doer not only talker.
James 1
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
We are so grateful to our God that He allows us to be able to feed and bless so many people. Who in there right mind would look at ministry that saves peoples lives and is asking for nothing in return, and call it a bad thing?
Only evil people and the corrupted city officials in Calgary would try to stop something wonderful and positive like this.
